What is Karisma Kidz?
The Karisma Kidz is a comprehensive set of learning-while-you play tools for children to build essential emotional intelligence from an early age. This empowers them to deal with the stresses of modern living, so that they grow up into effective adults. Getting this sort of learning embedded early on in a child’s development will continue to pay them back year after year and doing so helps to break some of the destructive patterns which afflict our society today. Karisma Kidz is both an online and an offline suit of learning tools which is overwhelmingly proven to reduce children’s stress levels. Children love it and parents can see its value.
What do Karisma Kidz do?
The Karisma Kidz characters make healthy eating, having a positive mindset and exercises, such as yoga, ‘cool’ things to do!!
With our takeTen philosophy children are encouraged to take ten minutes each day to ‘get into the zone’! They can also perform daily yoga stretches; watch and download healthy recipes to cook and eat with their parents; read and share age appropriate ebooks as well as watch webisodes depicting the characters overcoming difficult situations they might face. For example: We look at topics that range from anxiety about the first day at school, or going to the dentist, right the way through to parental separation, living with an unwell parent, being bullied or experiencing abuse.
Children can also listen to audio that includes positive music, guided relaxations and visualisations that have been proven to enable children to access the areas of their brain that sharpen mental clarity and activate creativity.
Children can even co-create their own personalised stories.
How are the Karisma Kidz dolls different to regular dolls?
The Karisma Kidz esteem builder dolls are different to regular dolls because not only do they allow parents to record esteem building statements that a child can listen to when they most need to, they also enable the child to have a cuddle and a listen to a story about a character that has been through exactly what they are going through and found ways to deal with the situation in a positively focused way. The Karisma Kidz takeTen philosophy is another differentiating factor, each of our characters show children how to recognise a stressful feeling, press the pause button and shift into a positive feeling using groundbreaking technology that is used by elite athletes around the world to get themselves into the ‘zone’!
Who are they for? What ages do the dolls cater for? And can boys and girls play with them?
The Karisma Kidz esteem builder dolls are designed for children aged 3 and up, while the games are designed for children aged between 5 and 11 years. An app is soon to be available for the ipad and other mobile devices too! The characters come in both sexes and a range of races! We want to ensure that everybody understands that it doesn’t matter what race you are or if you’re a boy or girl – Stress and anxiety affects us all and we all need to learn to identify and manage our emotions so that we can lead happy healthy lives as we grow into tomorrows leaders.

Who is behind Karisma Kidz and Who backs our approach?
The Karisma Kidz family includes passionate Parents, Teachers, acclaimed authors of both children’s and parenting books, IT whiz kids, a Social Worker, a Chef, a parenting expert, a restorative justice practitioner, a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist and a Family Therapist!
We’ve pooled our talents and expertise to provide families with the prescription for happiness, confidence and creativity!
We’ve used tools and techniques pioneered by trail blazers such as family therapist Virginia Satir and many others along the way!
Our work is based on principals recently researched by Dr Barbara Frederickson who wrote the book positivity based on her research into positivity ratios; Dr Bruce Lipton who wrote a ground-breaking book called the biology of belief and Daniel Goleman who wrote the book Emotional Intelligence back in 1995.
We at Karisma Kidz pride ourselves on being the first company to introduce children’s toys that use technology that is scientifically proven to enhance mental clarity, health and wellbeing!
Why Karisma Kidz? How did they come about?
I’m a mum of 5. And almost 5 years ago I was diagnosed with a bipolar disorder, told I would never recover and would need to take medication of the rest of my life.
I refused to believe that and embarked on a journey of self discovery which lead to me making a full recovery.
During those turbulent times my children were hugely affected. Their behaviour deteriorated. The Traditional sources of help said that their behaviour and symptoms were not bad enough to be offered support.
I was determined to ensure that my children were provided with a way to identify and manage their emotions. I didn’t want them to spiral out of control or suppress their emotions into adulthood and end up with a similar diagnosis to the one I had been given.
I became a parenting practitioner, life coach and emotional freedom techniques trainer. I searched for toys and games that allowed children to build characteristics such as self esteem, self belief and efficacy, but there was very little around.
So, I connected with passionate professionals who wanted to give children the opportunity to grow into well rounded adults. Healthy adults with the beliefs and the charisma to become successful.
Together we formed Karisma Kidz!
How safe is it?
The Karisma Kidz family believe in a strong level of customer safety and support and our products are made to the highest standards, using non toxic, eco friendly materials and exceeding the regulated standards for safety. We have developed a full internal customer safety & support brand. Customer support family members are known as Super Heroes and they routinely go that extra mile to ensure children’s safety while on line. The Super Hero concept will be integral to company’s core principles and marketed throughout the site.
Why should my child go on the site?
1 in 10 UK children suffers from some form of mental illness and 1 in 4 experience anxiety and depression while growing up!
These statistics span across background, status and culture meaning that any child from every walk of life could be affected!
I was one of those affected children with childhood depression following me into adulthood, leading to a diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
But all of that could have been avoided if the adults in my life knew then, what I know now…
I know what I know now and I’m determined to share it with parents across the globe to ensure that we can make a difference to those statistics here in the UK and all over the world!
Enabling children to identify their emotions and giving them the power to shift into an emotion of choice rather than reaction will see the figures I quoted earlier begin to decline.
Karisma Kidz is the solution children have literally been crying out for! The site provides the opportunity to download new stories, catch up with their favourite characters all while opening their minds to the endless possibilities that are available to us when we live in states of love, gratitude and passion.
How long should my child spend on the site?
Encouraging your child to take just Ten minutes each day to get their bodies and brains working together to experience love and gratitude by using the Karisma Kidz TakeTen software will create a remarkable difference in just 6 weeks. Listening to and sharing stories that provide beneficial resources for triumphing over adversity (in the many forms it may take) will enable children to stay on track to a positive future!
Playing the fun and engaging games on the site provides further enhancement of a child’s emotional intelligence skills – however we understand that too much time spent in front of a PC is not as beneficial for your child as engaging with others, so many of our activities encourage children to leave the computer to go and interact with their families and friends, making healthy meals, playing a family game, creating doodles and doing yoga stretches or arts and crafts activities.
